Bibury Parish Council

I am the Postmaster for Bibury. I am married with two children and my interests include martial arts, flora, fauna, history, sheep and my dog.

I became a councillor in 2018. I have lived in Arlington for 4 years, before then in East Sussex. I trained in medicine, tought for 10 years, had a retail business in Tunbridge Wells for 10 years, worked as an interior decorator and in garden design and maintenance.I have a particular interest in architecture, gardens and the environment. I enjoy travel, cooking, gardening and dog walking.

I moved to Bibury from London in 2012, and joined the parish council in September 2018.I am a journalist and author. I have held senior roles on a number of national newspapers, notably the Evening Standard and The Independent, but I am now freelance, and write books about gardens.I am particularly interested in environment and conservation issues.

I moved to Arlington in October 2020, having lived in the Cotswolds since 2004, and was elected to the Parish Council in May 2021. I am retired, having been Chief Executive of a company providing a renewable energy technology. I am married to Heather who is from Williamsburg, Virginia and we share our house, Long Cottage, with 3 cats and 3 dogs.
